In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/amd: Remove latent out-of-bounds access in IOMMU debugfs In iommu_mmio_write() and iommu_capability_write(), the variables dbg_mmio_offset and dbg_cap_offset are declared as int. However, they are populated using kstrtou32_from_user(). If a user provides a sufficiently large value, it can become a negative integer. Prior to this patch, the AMD IOMMU debugfs implementation was already protected by different mechanisms. 1. #define OFS_IN_SZ 8 ensures the user string <= 8 bytes, so e.g. 0xffffffff isn't a valid input. if (cnt > OFS_IN_SZ) return -EINVAL; 2. Implicit type promotion in iommu_mmio_write(), dbg_mmio_offset is int and iommu->mmio_phys_end is u64 if (dbg_mmio_offset > iommu->mmio_phys_end - sizeof(u64)) return -EINVAL; 3. The show handlers would currently catch the negative number and refuse to perform the read. Replace kstrtou32_from_user() with kstrtos32_from_user() to parse the input, and check for negative values to explicitly prevent out-of-bounds memory accesses directly in iommu_mmio_write() and iommu_capability_write().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu: Handle unmap error when iommu_debug is enabled Sashiko noticed a latent bug where the map error flow called iommu_unmap() which calls iommu_debug_unmap_begin()/iommu_debug_unmap_end() however since this is an error path the map flow never actually established the original iommu_debug_map() it will malfunction. Lift the unmap error handling into iommu_map_nosync() and reorder it so the trace_map()/iommu_debug_map() records the partial mapping and then immediately unmaps it. This avoid creating the unbalanced tracking and provides saner tracing instead of a unmap unmatched to any map.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: target: iscsi: Fix CRC overread and double-free in iscsit_handle_text_cmd() Two latent bugs in the Text-phase handler, both present since the original LIO integration in commit e48354ce078c ("iscsi-target: Add iSCSI fabric support for target v4.1"): 1) DataDigest CRC buffer overread (4 bytes past text_in). text_in is kzalloc()'d at ALIGN(payload_length, 4). rx_size is then incremented by ISCSI_CRC_LEN to make room for the received DataDigest in the iovec, but the same (now-bumped) rx_size is passed as the buffer length to iscsit_crc_buf(): if (conn->conn_ops->DataDigest) { ... rx_size += ISCSI_CRC_LEN; } ... if (conn->conn_ops->DataDigest) { data_crc = iscsit_crc_buf(text_in, rx_size, 0, NULL); iscsit_crc_buf() walks rx_size bytes of text_in with crc32c(), so when DataDigest is negotiated it reads 4 bytes past the end of the text_in allocation. KASAN reproduces this directly on the unpatched mainline tree as slab-out-of-bounds in crc32c() called from the Text PDU path. The OOB bytes feed crc32c() and are then compared against the initiator-supplied checksum, so the value does not flow back to the attacker, but the kernel does read past the buffer on every Text PDU with DataDigest=CRC32C. Fix by passing the actual padded payload length (ALIGN(payload_length, 4)) that was used for the kzalloc(). 2) Stale cmd->text_in_ptr re-free (double-free) on ERL>0 bad DataDigest drop. On DataDigest mismatch with ErrorRecoveryLevel > 0 the handler silently drops the PDU and lets the initiator plug the CmdSN gap: kfree(text_in); return 0; cmd->text_in_ptr still points at the freed buffer. The next Text Request on the same ITT re-enters iscsit_setup_text_cmd(), which unconditionally does kfree(cmd->text_in_ptr); cmd->text_in_ptr = NULL; freeing the same pointer a second time. Session teardown via iscsit_release_cmd() has the same shape and hits the same double-free if the connection is dropped before a second Text Request arrives. On an unmodified mainline tree the bug-1 CRC overread fires first on the initial valid Text Request and perturbs the subsequent state, so #4 was isolated by building a kernel with only the bug-1 hunk of this patch applied plus temporary printk() observability around the three relevant kfree() sites. The observability prints are not part of this patch. On that build, a three-PDU Text Request sequence after login produces two back-to-back splats: BUG: KASAN: double-free in iscsit_setup_text_cmd+0x?? BUG: KASAN: double-free in iscsit_release_cmd+0x?? showing the same pointer freed in the ERL>0 drop path and again in iscsit_setup_text_cmd() (next Text Request on the same ITT) and once more in iscsit_release_cmd() (session teardown). On distro kernels with CONFIG_SLAB_FREELIST_HARDENED=y (default) the double-free becomes a remote kernel BUG(); on non-hardened kernels it corrupts the slab freelist. Fix by clearing cmd->text_in_ptr after the kfree() in the ERL>0 drop path. With both hunks applied #4 is directly observable on the stock tree without observability printks; fixing bug-1 alone would mask #4 less, not more, so the hunks are submitted together. Both fixes are one-liners. The Text PDU state machine is unchanged and the wire protocol is unaffected.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: target: iscsi: Bound iscsi_encode_text_output() appends to rsp_buf iscsi_encode_text_output() concatenates "key=value\0" records into login->rsp_buf, an 8192-byte kzalloc(MAX_KEY_VALUE_PAIRS) buffer allocated in iscsit_alloc_login_setup_buffer(). The three sprintf() call sites in this function (lines 1398, 1411, 1424 in v7.1-rc2) never check the remaining buffer capacity: *length += sprintf(output_buf, "%s=%s", er->key, er->value); *length += 1; output_buf = textbuf + *length; The 8192-byte ceiling at iscsi_target_check_login_request() bounds the *input* Login PDU payload, but a single PDU can carry up to 2048 minimal four-byte "a=b\0" pairs, each unknown key expanding to a 16-byte "a=NotUnderstood\0" output record via iscsi_add_notunderstood_response(). 2048 * 16 = 32 KiB of output into an 8 KiB buffer, producing a ~24 KiB heap overrun in the kmalloc-8k slab. The fix introduces a static iscsi_encode_text_record() helper that uses snprintf() with a per-call bounds check against the remaining buffer, and threads a u32 textbuf_size parameter through iscsi_encode_text_output(). Both call sites in iscsi_target_handle_csg_zero() (PHASE_SECURITY) and iscsi_target_handle_csg_one() (PHASE_OPERATIONAL) pass MAX_KEY_VALUE_PAIRS. On overflow the encoder logs the condition, calls iscsi_release_extra_responses() to drop queued records, and returns -1; both caller sites now emit ISCSI_STATUS_CLS_INITIATOR_ERR / ISCSI_LOGIN_STATUS_INIT_ERR via iscsit_tx_login_rsp() before returning, so the initiator sees an explicit failed-login response rather than a silent connection drop. (Prior to this patch only the PHASE_OPERATIONAL caller did that; the PHASE_SECURITY caller is converted to the same shape.)

Impact: @fastify/reply-from versions from 8.3.1 up to but not including 12.6.4 build the internal URL cache key by concatenating the destination and source path without a delimiter. Different destination and source pairs can therefore produce the same key while resolving to different upstream URLs. When getUpstream selects an upstream from request data, a URL cached for one upstream can be reused for a request intended for another upstream, causing cross-upstream data access and modification. The default configuration is affected. Setting disableCache to true prevents the behavior. Patches: upgrade to @fastify/reply-from 12.6.4. Workarounds: pass disableCache: true when registering the plugin.

Sigstore Timestamp Authority is a service for issuing RFC 3161 timestamps. Prior to 2.1.0, the global wrapMetrics middleware records raw HTTP request path r.URL.Path and raw HTTP request method r.Method as Prometheus labels for latency and request count metric vectors before routing, allowing an unauthenticated remote attacker to issue requests with random paths such as /api/v1/timestamp/<uuid> or random HTTP methods and create unbounded permanent time-series entries that exhaust memory. This issue is fixed in version 2.1.0.

OpenRemote before 1.26.0 contain an authenticated SQL injection vulnerability in the datapoint crosstab export endpoint that constructs PostgreSQL queries by concatenating asset display names into raw SQL. An authenticated attacker with asset creation or rename permissions can inject SQL through the asset name parameter and receive query results in the exported CSV response, enabling database data exfiltration.

ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. In versions prior to 7.1.2-26he, the `-concatenate` operation is missing policy checks, potentially resulting in both reading and writing to paths disallowed by the security policy. This issue has been fixed in version 7.1.2-26.

claudiopizzillo PIAF-HMS (PBX-In-A-Flash Hotel Management System; no released versions, latest commit 389d2633441b65ced1c104212cd62be2bfca21e5) contains multiple unauthenticated SQL injection vulnerabilities. The application has no authentication mechanism and passes user-supplied HTTP parameters directly into deprecated mysql_query() calls via string concatenation, without sanitization, escaping, or parameterization. Affected sinks include rooms.php (DELETE FROM Rooms WHERE ID = $_GET['ID'], unquoted numeric context), checkuser.php (WHERE Ext = '$_GET["Ext"]'), ec.php (date/extension parameters in a WHERE), checkin.php and wakeup.php ($_POST values into INSERT statements), bills.php ($_POST fields built into a WHERE clause), and rates.php and checkout.php. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can inject arbitrary SQL to read, modify, or delete arbitrary records in the backing database (e.g. rooms.php?ID=1 OR 1=1 deletes all room records). Note: queries run via the legacy mysql_* extension, which does not permit stacked statements.

Nur-Alam39 bus-ticket (no released versions; latest commit 459cabdbeb99c00225b26e46e3c2c30ae1de7bad) contains an unauthenticated SQL injection vulnerability in bus_info.php. The busid parameter received via HTTP POST is concatenated directly into a MySQL query (select * from bus_info where id=$busid) without sanitization, escaping, or parameterization, and in a numeric (unquoted) context. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can inject arbitrary SQL — for example a UNION-based payload such as busid=-1 UNION SELECT 1,2,3,4,5,6 — to read arbitrary data from the bus_service database. The application connects to the database as the MySQL root account with an empty password, increasing the potential impact. The query is executed via mysqli_query(), which does not permit stacked (semicolon-separated) statements.

SQL Injection in reports/catalogue_out.pl in Koha Community Koha through 22.11.37, 23.x, 24.x before 24.11.16, 25.05.x before 25.05.11, 25.11.x before 25.11.05, 26.05.x before 26.05.01, and 26.11.x before 26.11.00 allows an authenticated staff user with the Reports module flag to read arbitrary data from the Koha application database via the Filter URL parameter when the Criteria parameter matches /branchcode/. The vulnerable sink in sub calculate concatenates the unmodified Filter request parameter directly into a LIKE clause of the auxiliary $strsth2 statement and executes it via DBI without bound parameters: my $f = @$filters[0]; $f =~ s/\*/%/g; $strsth2 .= " AND $column LIKE '$f' "; This enables error-based SQL injection (e.g., via EXTRACTVALUE) and full read access to sensitive tables including borrowers (password hashes, 2FA secrets, PII), borrower_password_recovery, api_keys, and sessions. Proof of concept (error-based, single request): GET /cgi-bin/koha/reports/catalogue_out.pl?do_it=1&output=screen&Limit=10&Criteria=branchcode&Filter=x'+AND+EXTRACTVALUE(1,CONCAT(0x7e,VERSION(),0x7c,USER(),0x7c,DATABASE(),0x7e))--+- Cookie: CGISESSID=<LIBRARIAN_SESSION> The response body contains the DBI exception leaking the MariaDB version, database user, client IP, and database name, after which arbitrary data can be paged out using LIMIT n,1 / SUBSTRING(...). The vulnerable sink was introduced in commit 6bb77ae3e4 (2008-07-09); CVE-2015-4633 patched the same class in sibling files but did not generalise the fix to reports/catalogue_out.pl. Fixed in Koha 22.11.38, 24.11.16, 25.05.11, 25.11.05, 26.05.01, and 26.11.00 by replacing the raw concatenation with a parameterised placeholder.

The WP Ticket plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the WordPress search query parameter (`s`) in versions up to, and including, 6.0.4 The plugin hooks WordPress's `posts_request` filter with `wp_ticket_com_posts_request()`, which calls `emd_author_search_results()` when the current request is an unauthenticated front-end search. That function reads `$query->query_vars['s']` — already wp_unslash()'d by `WP_Query::parse_query()`, so wp_magic_quotes protection has been stripped — and concatenates the raw value into a SQL `LIKE` clause inside a UNION sub-SELECT appended to the main query, with no `$wpdb->prepare()` or escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to append additional SQL queries into already-existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.

Nezha Monitoring is a self-hostable, lightweight, servers and websites monitoring and O&M tool. From version 1.0.0 to before version 2.2.0, the getRedirectURL function in oauth2.go:22-29 constructs the OAuth2 callback URL by concatenating the request's Host header with a fixed path, with zero validation of the Host header. This can result in host header injection. This issue has been patched in version 2.2.0.

form-data is a library for creating readable multipart/form-data streams. In versions through 4.0.5, the `field` argument to `FormData#append` and the `filename` option are concatenated verbatim into the `Content-Disposition` header without escaping carriage return (CR), line feed (LF), or double-quote (") characters. An application that passes attacker-controlled data as a field name or filename (for example, an API gateway that turns JSON object keys into multipart field names) allows the attacker to terminate the header line and inject additional headers, or to smuggle entire additional multipart parts, into the request the application forwards to a backend. This can let the attacker add or override form fields (e.g. set `is_admin=true`) seen by the downstream parser. This is an instance of CWE-93 (CRLF injection). The fix escapes CR, LF, and `"` as `%0D`, `%0A`, and `%22` in field names and filenames, matching the serialization browsers use per the WHATWG HTML multipart/form-data encoding algorithm. Exploitation requires the consuming application to use untrusted input as a field name or filename; applications that use only fixed/trusted field names are not affected. Fixed in 2.5.6, 3.0.5, and 4.0.6.

A CRLF injection vulnerability exists in the OAuth2 AuthorizationUtils class. When constructing the WWW-Authenticate response header, the 'realm' parameter is concatenated without sanitizing Carriage Return (CR) and Line Feed (LF) characters. If an attacker can control the realm value, they can inject arbitrary HTTP headers or split the HTTP response entirely. Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 4.2.2 or 4.1.7, which fixes this issue.

The 'clientId' parameter from incoming HTTP requests is directly concatenated into OAuth2 server log warning messages without sanitizing control characters. This allows an attacker to inject arbitrary content, including fake log entries, into the server's log files. Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 4.2.2 or 4.1.7, which fixes this issue.

ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. Prior to version 5.5.3 - #140, ClipBucket's Remote Play feature allows any authenticated user to add a video by importing an external URL as the source. Some shell commands are run with the URL as a parameter. The URL is concatenated directly into shell commands without escaping then executed, so any shell metacharacter in the URL is interpreted. This results in arbitrary command execution. This issue has been patched in version 5.5.3 - #140.

SQL Injection vulnerability in damasac thaipalliative_lte through version 3.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the idFormMain parameter to /substudy/ezform.php (line 14) and the id parameter (line 49). The parameters are concatenated directly into SQL queries without sanitization or parameterized statements.

Snappy is a PHP library allowing thumbnail, snapshot or PDF generation from a url or a html page. Prior to version 1.7.1, on POSIX, escapeshellarg(‘/usr/bin/wkhtmltopdf’) returns the literal string ‘/usr/bin/wkhtmltopdf’ with the single-quote characters included. is_executable() then looks for a file whose actual name contains those quote characters, which essentially never exists. The safe branch is dead code and $command always falls through to the raw, unescaped value. The rest of the arguments (options, input, output) are escaped correctly, so injection has to land in the binary string itself. That happens whenever the binary path is sourced from configuration that is user-influenced, derived from environment variables that ultimately come from request data, or concatenated with any user-controlled fragment. This issue has been patched in version 1.7.1.

Roxy-WI is a web interface for managing Haproxy, Nginx, Apache and Keepalived servers. In versions 8.2.6.4 and prior, wrap_line (app/modules/common/common.py:181-186) and highlight_word (app/modules/common/common.py:188-192) build raw HTML by string concatenation with no escaping. The frontend (app/static/js/script.js, log-viewer paths) uses .html(data) / .append(data) to inject the response body. Anyone able to write a line into a managed HAProxy/Nginx access log (i.e. anyone who can send an HTTP request to the public LB) can land an <svg/onload=…> payload that executes when a Roxy-WI admin opens the log viewer. At time of publication, there are no publicly available patches.

Roxy-WI is a web interface for managing Haproxy, Nginx, Apache and Keepalived servers. In versions 8.2.6.4 and prior, get_ldap_email (app/modules/roxywi/user.py:120-157) builds the LDAP search filter via f-string concatenation. The username URL path parameter is taken verbatim — no checkAjaxInput, no LDAP escape — and inserted, a username like *)(mail=*)(cn=* injects additional clauses, allowing the admin to enumerate or harvest attributes outside the intended record. At time of publication, there are no publicly available patches.

Ghidra before 12.1 contains a SQL injection vulnerability in BSim filter types that concatenate user-supplied values directly into SQL queries without escaping or parameterization. Remote attackers can inject arbitrary SQL via the BSim network query protocol to read, modify, or delete data in the PostgreSQL database.
