In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: validate compound request size before reading StructureSize2 When ksmbd validates a compound (chained) SMB2 request, ksmbd_smb2_check_message() reads pdu->StructureSize2 without first checking that the compound element is large enough to contain it. StructureSize2 is a 2-byte field at offset 64 (__SMB2_HEADER_STRUCTURE_SIZE) from the start of each element. The compound-walking logic only guarantees that a full 64-byte SMB2 header is present for the trailing element: when NextCommand is 0, len is reduced to the number of bytes remaining after next_smb2_rcv_hdr_off. A remote client can craft a compound request whose last element has exactly 64 bytes, so the 2-byte StructureSize2 read at offset 64 extends one byte past the receive buffer, producing a slab-out-of-bounds read. A vulnerability in Tenable Sensor Proxy allows a remote attacker to execute code with elevated privileges by inducing an operator to connect the sensor to an attacker-controlled host.

OpenWrt luci-app-dockerman (LuCI master and openwrt-25.12 snapshots containing the ucode docker_rpc.uc RPC backend after the JS/ucode conversion) contains an OS command injection vulnerability. The package's read ACL grants broad ubus access to docker.* / docker.container.*, which exposes the docker.container.ttyd_start method even though it performs mutating operations. The run_ttyd handler builds a shell command from the request-controlled id, cmd, and uid fields and passes it to system() without quoting or argv-style execution in the rpcd root context. An authenticated attacker holding only the luci-app-dockerman read ACL can inject shell metacharacters (e.g., in id) to execute arbitrary commands as root via an HTTP POST to /ubus. openwrt-24.10 and openwrt-23.05 do not contain this backend and are not affected; no patched version was known as of the advisory.

OpenWrt luci-app-bmx7 before commit 5890760a454dad2cb00389dba2cdc5e779e0ffdd contains a path traversal vulnerability in the bmx7-info CGI script that allows unauthenticated attackers to read files outside the configured runtimeDir. Attackers can supply directory traversal sequences in the query string to escape the intended directory and read sensitive files accessible to the CGI process.

luci-app-adblock-fast before 1.2.4-4 contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the blocklist name field that allows lower-privileged users to inject active HTML. When an administrator views the AdBlock Fast status page, the injected payload executes in the administrator's browser under the LuCI origin.

luci-app-https-dns-proxy contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the resolver_url parameter that allows authenticated users to inject active HTML. When an administrator views the HTTPS DNS Proxy status page, the resolver URL is rendered as raw HTML and executes JavaScript in the administrator's browser origin.

free5GC is an open-source implementation of the 5G core network. Prior to 1.4.5, the free5GC AUSF (Authentication Server Function) does not validate the supiOrSuci field in UE authentication requests. Null bytes (\x00) and other control characters pass through JSON parsing unchanged and are forwarded to the UDM in an unescaped URL path. This causes Go's net/url.Parse() to fail, returning HTTP 500 "System failure" and leaking internal stack traces. An unauthenticated attacker can trigger this at scale causing denial of service for all subscribers attempting authentication through the affected AUSF. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.4.5.

Netty is an asynchronous, event-driven network application framework. Prior to versions 4.1.136.Final and 4.2.16.Final, Netty's HTTP/2-to-HTTP/1.x translation layer (`Http2StreamFrameToHttpObjectCodec` and `InboundHttp2ToHttpAdapter`) fails to deduplicate or validate `Host` headers when an HTTP/2 client supplies both the `:authority` pseudo-header and a literal `host` header in a single HEADERS frame. The translator maps `:authority` to `Host` and separately copies the literal `host` header, producing an `HttpRequest` object containing two `Host` headers with attacker-controlled differing values. This issue has been fixed in versions 4.1.136.Final and 4.2.16.Final.

A SQL Injection in the Giving Reports functionality in Ellucian Advance Web and Legacy Advance allows an authenticated attacker to extract sensitive information from databases via a crafted SQL query in the class credit field. This issue affects Advance Web: all versions; Legacy Advance: all versions. Ellucian CRM Advance is not impacted.

TinyWeb through 0.0.8 contains a null pointer dereference vulnerability that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to crash worker processes by sending a malformed HTTP request line with an invalid version string. The HttpParser::execute() function fails to allocate the Url object when version parsing fails, leaving the url pointer NULL, and buildResponse() subsequently dereferences this NULL pointer without checking the valid_requ flag, producing a SIGSEGV that terminates the worker process and, when repeated across all workers, takes the server permanently offline until manually restarted.

Classic buffer overflow in the Erlang/OTP megaco flex scanner C driver allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to corrupt the driver's memory (and potentially achieve remote code execution or a denial-of-service crash) by sending a single text-encoded H.248/Megaco message containing an oversized property parm name. When tokenizing a Local/Remote descriptor, mfs_load_property_groups extracts the attacker-controlled property name (bounded only by the message length) and, when no value follows, formats it into a fixed 512-byte error_msg field of the MfsErlDrvData struct using an unchecked sprintf call. Names longer than roughly 452 bytes overflow into the immediately following struct fields (text_buf, text_ptr, term_spec, term_spec_size, term_spec_index), overwriting live pointers and counters with attacker-chosen bytes. Subsequent scanner code writes and frees through the corrupted pointers, producing arbitrary write and arbitrary free primitives inside the BEAM VM process, which can be leveraged for remote code execution. On builds compiled with _FORTIFY_SOURCE the overflow is detected at runtime and terminates the process with SIGABRT, resulting in denial of service. The overflow occurs in the flex scanner before any grammar or Megaco-level authentication processing, so exploitation requires only network reachability to the megaco transport port on a node configured with {scanner, flex}. This vulnerability is associated with program files lib/megaco/src/flex/megaco_flex_scanner_drv.flex.src and program routines mfs_load_property_groups. This issue affects OTP from OTP 17.0 before OTP 29.0.4, OTP 28.5.0.4 and OTP 27.3.4.15, corresponding to megaco from 3.17.1 before 4.9.1, 4.8.3.1 and 4.7.2.2. Versions prior to OTP 17.0 are also affected but are not listed because the OTP version scheme is only defined from OTP 17.0 onwards.

Integer Underflow (Wrap or Wraparound) vulnerability in erlang otp erlang/otp (erts modules), erlang otp erts (erts modules) allows Forced Integer Overflow, Excessive Allocation. This vulnerability is associated with program files erts/emulator/beam/external.c, emulator/beam/external.c. The BIT_BINARY_EXT tag (77) handler in the External Term Format (ETF) decoder accepts an encoding with both length and trailing-bits fields set to zero. The subsequent computation of the bitstring size underflows an unsigned integer, producing a value of roughly 2^64 that is then passed as a memory allocation size. The allocator aborts the entire node with a message such as "Cannot allocate 2305843009213693951 bytes of memory (of type binary)". The crash is a VM-level abort, not an Erlang-level exception. It cannot be intercepted by supervision trees, by try/catch, or by passing the [safe] option to binary_to_term/2 (which only restricts atom creation and does not perform structural validation of binary encodings). Any application that decodes ETF from untrusted sources via binary_to_term/1,2 or enif_binary_to_term() is exposed. The Erlang distribution protocol also decodes incoming terms through the same code path, but distribution is expected to run on trusted networks per the OTP Secure Coding Guidelines (DSG-011). This issue affects OTP from OTP 27.0 before OTP 29.0.4, OTP 28.5.0.4 and OTP 27.3.4.15, corresponding to erts from 15.0 before 17.0.4, 16.4.0.4 and 15.2.7.11.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/ntfs3: validate lcns_follow in log_replay conversion log_replay() converts DIR_PAGE_ENTRY_32 records into DIR_PAGE_ENTRY records when replaying version 0 restart tables. During this conversion, the memmove() length is derived directly from the on-disk lcns_follow field: memmove(&dp->vcn, &dp0->vcn_low, 2 * sizeof(u64) + le32_to_cpu(dp->lcns_follow) * sizeof(u64)); check_rstbl() validates restart table structure, but does not constrain per-entry lcns_follow values relative to the entry size. A malformed filesystem image can provide an oversized lcns_follow value, causing the conversion memmove() to access memory beyond the bounds of the allocated restart table buffer. The same field is later used to bound iteration over page_lcns[], so validating lcns_follow during conversion also prevents downstream out-of-bounds access from the same malformed metadata. Compute the maximum valid lcns_follow from the already-validated restart table entry size and reject entries that exceed this bound. Reuse the existing t16/t32 scratch variables already declared in log_replay() to avoid introducing new declarations. [almaz.alexandrovich@paragon-software.com: fixed the conflicts]

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: nexthop: Increase weight to u16 In CLOS networks, as link failures occur at various points in the network, ECMP weights of the involved nodes are adjusted to compensate. With high fan-out of the involved nodes, and overall high number of nodes, a (non-)ECMP weight ratio that we would like to configure does not fit into 8 bits. Instead of, say, 255:254, we might like to configure something like 1000:999. For these deployments, the 8-bit weight may not be enough. To that end, in this patch increase the next hop weight from u8 to u16. Increasing the width of an integral type can be tricky, because while the code still compiles, the types may not check out anymore, and numerical errors come up. To prevent this, the conversion was done in two steps. First the type was changed from u8 to a single-member structure, which invalidated all uses of the field. This allowed going through them one by one and audit for type correctness. Then the structure was replaced with a vanilla u16 again. This should ensure that no place was missed. The UAPI for configuring nexthop group members is that an attribute NHA_GROUP carries an array of struct nexthop_grp entries: struct nexthop_grp { __u32 id; /* nexthop id - must exist */ __u8 weight; /* weight of this nexthop */ __u8 resvd1; __u16 resvd2; }; The field resvd1 is currently validated and required to be zero. We can lift this requirement and carry high-order bits of the weight in the reserved field: struct nexthop_grp { __u32 id; /* nexthop id - must exist */ __u8 weight; /* weight of this nexthop */ __u8 weight_high; __u16 resvd2; }; Keeping the fields split this way was chosen in case an existing userspace makes assumptions about the width of the weight field, and to sidestep any endianness issues. The weight field is currently encoded as the weight value minus one, because weight of 0 is invalid. This same trick is impossible for the new weight_high field, because zero must mean actual zero. With this in place: - Old userspace is guaranteed to carry weight_high of 0, therefore configuring 8-bit weights as appropriate. When dumping nexthops with 16-bit weight, it would only show the lower 8 bits. But configuring such nexthops implies existence of userspace aware of the extension in the first place. - New userspace talking to an old kernel will work as long as it only attempts to configure 8-bit weights, where the high-order bits are zero. Old kernel will bounce attempts at configuring >8-bit weights. Renaming reserved fields as they are allocated for some purpose is commonly done in Linux. Whoever touches a reserved field is doing so at their own risk. nexthop_grp::resvd1 in particular is currently used by at least strace, however they carry an own copy of UAPI headers, and the conversion should be trivial. A helper is provided for decoding the weight out of the two fields. Forcing a conversion seems preferable to bending backwards and introducing anonymous unions or whatever.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vfio/pci: Release the VGA arbiter client on register_device() failure The re-order in the Fixes commit below displaced vfio_pci_vga_init() as the last failure point of what is now vfio_pci_core_register_device() without introducing an unwind for the VGA arbiter registration. In current kernels this is mostly benign because vfio_pci_set_decode() only uses pci_dev state, but the original failure path could leave a callback with a freed vdev cookie. The stale registration also becomes unsafe again once the callback follows drvdata to the vfio device. Add the required VGA unwind callout.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: logitech-dj: Fix maxfield check in DJ short report validation Commit b6a57912854e ("HID: logitech-dj: Prevent REPORT_ID_DJ_SHORT related user initiated OOB write") added validation for the DJ short output report, but the error path dereferences rep->field[0] even when rep->maxfield is zero. Commit 8b9a097eb2fc ("HID: logitech-dj: fix wrong detection of bad DJ_SHORT output report") made the check conditional on rep being present, but a crafted descriptor can still create report ID 0x20 with only padding output items. hid-core registers the report, ignores the padding field, and leaves rep->maxfield as zero. In that case the validation enters the rep->maxfield < 1 branch and then dereferences rep->field[0]->report_count while printing the error message, causing a NULL pointer dereference during probe. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: nv: Avoid dereferencing NULL VNCR pseudo-TLB VNCR TLB invalidation occurs from MMU notifiers or TLBI instructions, and either can race against a vcpu not being onlined yet (no pseudo-TLB allocated). Similarly, the TLB might be invalid, and the invalidation should be skipped in this case. Both kvm_invalidate_vncr_ipa() and kvm_invalidate_vncr_va() are expected to perform the same checks, except that the latter doesn't check for the allocation and blindly dereferences the pointer. Solve this by introducing a new iterator built on top of the usual kvm_for_each_vcpu() that checks for both of the above conditions, and convert the two users to it.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: octeontx2-pf: fix double free in rvu_rep_rsrc_init() rvu_rep_rsrc_init() allocates queue memory before calling otx2_init_hw_resources(). When hardware resource setup fails, otx2_init_hw_resources() already unwinds the partially initialized SQ, CQ, and aura state before returning an error. The representor error path then calls otx2_free_hw_resources() again and can free the same resources a second time. Fix this by splitting the cleanup labels so that a failure from otx2_init_hw_resources() only releases queue memory. Keep the otx2_free_hw_resources() call for failures that happen after hardware resource initialization completed successfully. The bug was first flagged by an experimental analysis tool we are developing for kernel memory-management bugs while analyzing v6.13-rc1. The tool is still under development and is not yet publicly available. Manual inspection confirms that the bug is still present in v7.1-rc3. Runtime validation was not performed because reproducing this path requires OcteonTX2 representor hardware.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: octeontx2-pf: avoid double free of pool->stack on AQ init failure otx2_pool_aq_init() frees pool->stack when mailbox sync or retry allocation fails, but leaves the pointer unchanged. Later, otx2_sq_aura_pool_init() unwinds the partial setup through otx2_aura_pool_free(), which frees pool->stack again. The CN20K-specific cn20k_pool_aq_init() implementation has the same bug in its corresponding error path. Set pool->stack to NULL immediately after the local free so the shared cleanup path does not free the same stack again while cleaning up partially initialized pool state. The bug was first flagged by an experimental analysis tool we are developing for kernel memory-management bugs while analyzing v6.13-rc1. The tool is still under development and is not yet publicly available. Manual inspection confirms that the bug is still present in v7.1-rc3. Runtime validation was not performed because reproducing this path requires OcteonTX2/CN20K hardware.

The Zephyr ext2 file system validates the on-disk superblock in ext2_verify_disk_superblock() (subsys/fs/ext2/ext2_impl.c) before completing a mount. The validator checked the magic number, block size, revision and feature flags, but did not verify that the on-disk fields s_blocks_per_group and s_inodes_per_group are non-zero. Both fields are read directly from the image and are later used as divisors during mount-time initialization. During mount, get_ngroups() divides and modulos s_blocks_count by s_blocks_per_group (reached via ext2_fetch_block_group() from ext2_init_fs()), and get_itable_entry() divides (ino - 1) by s_inodes_per_group when fetching the root inode (both in subsys/fs/ext2/ext2_diskops.c). A superblock with either field set to zero therefore causes an integer division by zero during the mount sequence. An attacker who can present a crafted ext2 image to a device that mounts ext2 — removable media such as an SD card or a USB mass-storage device — can trigger this. On ARMv7-M / ARMv8-M-mainline Cortex-M targets, divide-by-zero trapping is enabled (SCB_CCR_DIV_0_TRP), so the division raises a UsageFault that Zephyr treats as a fatal error, producing a denial of service. The impact is limited to availability; the malformed value is consumed only as a divisor. The fix rejects a zero s_blocks_per_group or s_inodes_per_group in the superblock validator, returning -EINVAL so the mount fails before any block-group or inode I/O occurs.

FFmpeg through 8.1.2 contains an out-of-bounds write vulnerability that allows attackers to cause heap corruption by supplying a crafted ffconcat file processed with the -safe 0 flag. The TY demuxer's demux_audio() function decrements packet size without bounds checking, producing a negative size value that is passed to memcpy() in shorten_decode_frame(), where conversion to size_t wraps the value to near SIZE_MAX and triggers reads beyond the source allocation and writes far beyond the Shorten decoder's bitstream buffer.

The Classic (BR/EDR) L2CAP signaling handlers l2cap_br_conf_req() and l2cap_br_conf_rsp() in subsys/bluetooth/host/classic/l2cap_br.c validated the minimum command size against buf->len (the bytes remaining in the whole received PDU) instead of len (the per-command data length from the L2CAP signaling header). Because multiple signaling commands can be packed into one PDU, buf->len may exceed a command's len. An attacker can send a CONF_REQ command with a header length smaller than the configuration-request structure (e.g. 0), followed by another command so that buf->len still satisfies the check. The check then passes incorrectly and opt_len = len - sizeof(*req) underflows the uint16_t to a near-0xFFFF value. The configuration-option loop, which lacks an opt_len-versus-buf->len guard, then walks far past the end of the pooled ACL receive buffer using net_buf pull primitives that perform no runtime bounds check, producing an out-of-bounds read of host memory and, when the out-of-bounds option bytes encode an MTU or flush-timeout option, an out-of-bounds write. The BR/EDR signaling channel is processed before pairing/encryption and an L2CAP channel to an L0 service such as SDP can be opened without pairing, so an unauthenticated peer within radio range that can establish an ACL connection can trigger the flaw, leading to memory corruption and denial of service (host/device crash). The defect is present in released versions including v4.4.0. The fix validates against len instead of buf->len in both handlers.
